Sich hilflos fühlen

I'm just feeling so helpless and tired of being in pain, constantly dizzy and heart palpitations. Feeling like I'm gonna die everyday. Once 1 worry gets tired of running through my head.. a new one starts. Constantly looking for reassurance. Needing to learn how to rationalize my fears and get a grip on reality and stop thinking everything is a conspiracy theory... Anyone else suffering like me?? What are your thoughts? I just bought my first book about health anxiety... So I'm looking forward to it

Hi! I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder almost a year ago. My doctor prescribed zoloft, and though I did not want to go that route, I knew I had to do something. The first 3 months were tough. Adjusting to the meds was everything I had read about. But I stuck it out because I knew I had to fight. After about 4 months, I started to feel somewhat "normal". I was able to rationalize my outrageous thoughts. The physical symptoms of my anxiety were dizziness, shortness of breath, chest tightening, extreme GERD, headaches, body aches, and sometimes I didn't sleep for fear that I wouldn't wake up. I prayed everyday and kept reminding myself that I wasn't going to die, and these symptoms would pass. Almost a year later I almost feel like my old self. I still get the physical symptoms from time to time, but not like before. Keep fighting and telling yourself, it's the anxiety and nothing else. You will get better! XO

Ever feel like your heart races or more like you can just feel it beating even when you’re sitting or lying down just throughout the day? I used to get that and it lasts days sometimes and it has returned and I hate it. It’s so uncomfortable

Hi!! Thank you so much! That's what I needed to here tonight! I too am terribly afraid of taking meds... But I might have too!! I want to feel normal soooo bad!

I just seen ur post and yes u constantly feel like that. As of right now I’m so stressed out and worried that I’m dying with lymphoma cancer it’s been in my had for about 3 days now u ever feel like u have cancer

Yes!! I get that all the time. It drives me crazy when I can't find my pulse too. Or when it feels like my heart is racing, but when I check my pulse... It's normal.

Hi Timothy! Yes once I did but I mostly obsess over things that kill you instantly.. like embolisms, blood clots... Or anyrusm.

Has ur lymph nodes ever hurt

im in the same boat!! the daily dizziness is so annoying and very hard to describe to people. I've had almost every symptom caused by anxiety and to me dizziness is the most debilitating one.. very scary.

I assure you aren’t alone in this, many of us here have either had this or have this currently (myself included). Things that really helped me: reading “Overcoming Heath Anxiety” Book, trying to rationalize through my sensations (thanks to that book) so that I only go to the dr when I need to (very hard to do, considering many of us need validation). Also I exercise, take vitamins/probiotics (this can be different based on everyone’s needs), avoiding caffeine for a while, and keeping a notepad of everything that’s happened to remind myself - I.e few months ago, I had unexplainable stomach issues (had many tests & ultrasound come back fine), so I wrote a page in my notes saying what id been through previously and what I’d done then that was helpful which puts me at ease.

Not sure where those are... Lol

Thank you Paige, that was very helpful. Especially writing everything down. Yes!! I just ordered that book and excited for it too come. I'm ready to over come this.
