Feels like my body is swollen all over. Is this anxiety?

This is my first post on here and I just would like to know that I am not the only one having these symptoms. I have Type 2 Diabetes and am on meds for it. I have just recently started taking some new meds and I have been having horrible anxiety ever since. I feel numbness and tingling in my feet, legs, hands, and face. I also feel like my whole body is swollen although I have not gained any weight and my clothes all still fit. I am deathly afraid that I have kidney disease or failure because I have been having some pain near my kidney area. Does anyone else have this swollen feeling? I also get breathlessness from time to time and feel like I am drowning! It would be nice to know that I'm not the only one!

sorry you were going through this. Is your doctor aware of the numbness in tingling? It could be anxiety related and it also could be diabetes related. Breathlessness is very common with anxiety. Is your doctor aware of the pain you are having? it could be all anxiety related but just to be on the safe side let your doctor know if you haven’t already done so., so you can have peace of mind.
kidney disease and failure as it relates to diabetes takes a very long time to develop. I am assuming you are young so what I would suggest is try to relax your mind as much as you can. There are some great meditations on YouTube for anxiety and they really relax me! Sometimes when we overthink things our symptoms get worse and then we get fear and it goes around and around.there are also some great short meditations for proper breathing which will get rid of the breathlessness feeling. Look up some called mindfulness breathing exercises. I do hope you feel better soon!

Thank you so much for replying! I have shared all of my symptoms with my doctor and he doesn’t seem too concerned with them. I started insulin 2 months ago and these symptoms started at around the same time. I would like to say they are related somehow but my anxiety doesn’t want me to!!
