Hi everyone, I used to use femfresh to wash my vulva with but it started to sting and irritate so i switched to using just water and a soft bamboo cloth. I have always naturally had heavy daily discharge and don’t feel clean enough using just water. Is there anything else I can use which won’t affect the ph? Thanks
Katie, you have washed away all the natural excretions which keep your vagina and vulva healthy. Fem fresh is not recommended at any time. Its just not necessary. Dont use any of these feminine washes. If the discharge doesnt itch then it is perfectly natural… Try to just use cool water for a while and dont rub…just let the water run over the area. keep the soap for outside the vulval area and the anal area. It should right itself after a while. I am assuming you are quite young but if you are around or past the menopause do see your doctor if this doesnt resolve after a while. There are medications that can help.
You could try using Vagisil to ease the irritation. Wear a panty liner if the discharge is not itchy and it is too much for your pants to absorb. If the discharge is itchy then see your doctor for simple treatment
