Olá, meninas, fui oferecida um procedimento Fentons. Estou preocupada depois de ler que ele abre a abertura vaginal. Isso é verdade? Não quero de repente ficar solta. Tive 4 filhos e trabalho duro para manter-me em forma. Só uma velha ruptura que continua se rompendo. Alguma opinião?
Hi Annie, I don't know what a Fentons procedure is, and I don't know your exact conditions, but before you try a procedure that you're worried about, have you tried going the natural route (baking soda baths, Borax (sodium borate) treatments, various oils, dietary changes, and slowly stretching your vagina with a dilator)?
If you have LS and haven't tried these things, and there's no rush, it might be good to try them first.

Never heard of this you should ask the doctor that offers you this in the first place if your tearing it mute help stop that
A fentons procedure will cut the skin which keeps tearing and then stitch it up..... It doesnT affect your internal muscles, but should help stop the tearing.
Theres an alternative procedure, called the plymouth procedure which looks like it might make a neater job..... Look up dr Frappel and the plymouth procedure and there is a video which you can watch.....
i watched it with my eyes mostly closed..... Eek! dr frappel has retired now, but there must be other doctors who perform it.

Moro em Melbourne, Austrália, e tive a sorte de ser encaminhada a uma excelente fisioterapeuta especializada em saúde feminina. Ela me apresentou a um médico que realiza o tratamento com o laser Mona Lisa, que ajuda a reparar o tecido e a pele na região vulvar.
Infelizmente, isso pouco ajudou para mim, mas o mesmo médico realiza um procedimento chamado Z-plasty, um procedimento usado em vítimas de queimaduras para eliminar o tecido cicatricial, entre outros. Ele não tem muita confiança no procedimento de Fentons, dizendo que falha na maioria dos casos.
Se você pesquisar o Dr. Johnathon Frappel, ele realiza um procedimento semelhante ao Z-plasty e há um vídeo que você pode assistir.
Vou lhe informar como vai ser o resultado, cruzando os dedos por um bom desfecho.

The procedure done by Dr frappell is called the Plymouth procedure. The video is still on his website but Dr Frappell retired in July of this year.
Suggest you look at the video and then be very choosy about which consultant you see.....

Tive o procedimento Fentons há 3 anos e falhou, acabei de fazer a plástica Z, como realizada no procedimento de Plymouth. Meu maravilhoso médico conseguiu até dividir a área que escondia o clitóris.

Tive a sorte de ter seguro privado, então custou apenas 500 dólares australianos mais algumas despesas extras. O procedimento de Plymouth ou Z Plasty é uma técnica usada para vítimas de queimaduras para remover o tecido cicatricial, então parece muito mais promissor, então cruzamos os dedos.
Meu médico também tentou um procedimento chamado Mona Lisa Touch, uma série de três tratamentos a laser que reparam o tecido danificado, infelizmente isso não foi suficiente para mim, mas pode valer a pena tentar se o liquen escleroso não estiver muito avançado.
Minha operação foi há apenas dois dias, então vou mantê-la informada.

A plástica Z é realmente um milagre. Tenho essa condição há 14 anos e os últimos 5 foram um desafio.
A plástica Z reparou completamente a pele onde sempre se rasgava e meu cirurgião também dividiu os lábios que estavam cobrindo meu clitóris.
Meu marido e eu conseguimos ter relações sexuais e não consigo expressar o quão maravilhosa me sinto.
Isso nos devolveu nossa intimidade e nunca poderei agradecer o suficiente ao meu maravilhoso cirurgião. Sei que são dias iniciais, mas até agora tudo é incrível.
Por favor, pesquise um procedimento chamado procedimento de Plymouth pelo Dr. Johnathon Frappel. É praticamente o mesmo procedimento, talvez tente pesquisar no Google “plástica Z” e veja quem você encontra.
Vou mantê-la informada, mas até agora tudo está ótimo.
Além disso, certifique-se de fazer uma biópsia, pois eu nunca fiz uma e o liquen escleroso foi diagnosticado apenas pela aparência. Eu fiz uma biópsia durante a plástica Z e na verdade é eczema crônico. Se eu tivesse o diagnóstico correto mais cedo, talvez o resultado fosse diferente.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
My condition doesn't sound as though it is as bad as yours was. I have never been diagnosed with lichen sclerosis, just a chronic tearing which lead to a build up of scar tissue that was removed in the Fentons but it has not made any difference. The tearing has been going on for probably around 9 years now, but it has been in the last 2 years that it became so unbearable I couldn't have sex at all. At 29 and with no children yet I really worry about the possibility of ever getting my sex life back and having children, but it sounds as though there is hope!
Really glad to hear that the z-plasty has worked for you. I have read about the Plymouth procedure which sounds like a good option.

I would not advise Fentons procedure except as a last resort. I had this done six years ago. I was not informed of any complications. in fact, I was told there were none! I was not told that it might not work which it didn’t. It took a long time to heal, badly, and is worse than before. I am now wondering whether the trauma may have actually triggered lichen sclerosus? Maybe the Z-plasty is more successful or maybe I made a poor choice of surgeon.
Do they do this for rectal fissures too?

Wondering if you ever did seek further treatment for your failed Fenton’s procedure? I am currently seeing a pelvic floor physio who has given me dilators and exercises to do. I just don’t have much hope at this stage that I will ever be back to normal, sexually. I’d love to hear your experience since this post.
