So the past few weeks I have been getting every fever like symptom. Hot / cold spells. Shakes, sweats, headaches and dizziness but no apparent fever or infection. It is so strange.
My anxiety has also been bad again lately, not panic attack state but just a general feeling like my whole body is shaking constantly. There is no respite!. I am still functioning as normal, going to work etc but just batting though this daily flu like state. Lemsips make no difference, bloods are fine.
Had an ENT check out my sinus for infection as I have constant post nasal drip and they are clear. I am at a complete loss.
Can this be another manifestation of anxiety, or has anxiety just ran my immune down that much?
I had the exact same thing back in Dec/Jan, I could so have written your post, I was really bad for about 6 weeks and was basically housebound as I felt so shaky, dizzy, wobbly on my legs, upset tummy, headaches , you name it. I had loads of blood tests etc and all were pretty much normal. I know how you feel, I would be sitting in the drs feeling like I had a raging temp and then she would take it and it was normal, so bizzare, I also would get chills and my teeth would be chattering etc and I would have to jump into bed and put my electric blanket on and it was middle of summer here in NZ. Long story short, seems it was all anxiety due to the fact that I was convinced I had something life threatening. Much better now but still not quite normal. I found that other people posting on here with the same thing happening really helped me, good luck, hope you feel better soon.
As horrible as the sensation is, I am glad I am not alone. It must be anxiety surely but the more I think of it, the more it drives it. Anxiety is such a vicious circle.
I had a chuckle as last night I was freezing, wrapped up in the blanket and it was like 24 degrees outside! My partner said I felt normal! To me, I was shivering and shaking like mad but my partner recorded me, played it back and I was 100% fine!
The doctor has given me Sertraline and I have been putting off starting it but think I need to now.
I had the same I would be tremoring, shaking and vibrating inside my body but would hold my hand out and it was not shaking at all, but I also had a couple of episodes where I was actually freezing cold and shaking like a leaf with my teeth chattering, it would only last about 20 mins and after warming up under the blankets it would stop, it was so strange when it was a hot day and my temp was normal
