so fgm survivor and i dont quiet remember a lot and its too traumatic to ask family bc i dont want to open up that door. i have started becoming sexually active in the past year and it hasnt been to difficult aside from body image issues intially if potential partners could tell if i was circumcised. none of my partners have ever commented on my vagina negatively so far but recently ive started wondering if i have a clitoris or if its been altered in any way. im planning to visit a professional soon but need to work up to that level of emotion. all i know is i had the type 1 (or type 1a) done and i can recognize that my clitorol hood has been partially removed/altered. otherwise i dont know what else has been done and i have feeling in my clitoris and achieve orgasm/arousal. i'll attach some photos, but please tell me if i seem to have a clitoris or not
I’m certanly no expert in this field (fgm) but from what I can see and I read that you still got sensitivity I would say its just the hood that has been altered (or partially clitoral alteration)
