Is anyone with Fibromyalgia with anxiety having difficulty breathing when they go to bed, and being very aware of it
Hi Patricia - I have fibro and have had breathing difficulties at night but not because I identified as being anxious. Turned out I have coronary microvascular disease. So this response is by way of me encouraging you to raise this troubling symptom with a caring doctor. It could be something or nothing but I urge you to investigate it. I ignored my symptoms fir a couple of years and ended havng a heart attack. Happy to say I'm still here to tell the talebut definitely a drastic way to get to the bottom of the problem.
I have just had an ECG and found out everything was ok except for some enlargement which at my age 78 years is normal, I think this breathing thing came about by doing breathing exercises, and has made me aware of them,
That's reassuring to some degree having had the ECG. Having a heightened awareness isn't a bad thing - maybe breathing exercises can help you overcome the sensation? But if there's no improvement, I would certainly raise it with your doc. Good luck with it Patricia
