Print out any information you can find on the Internet about your condition and highlight the main symptoms that relate to you, either that or can you not take a welfare officer with you, she or he would meet you before hand and are usually easier. To talk to and have probably know something about your condition as may have came across it in the past. I don't envy you, it is one of the hardest illnesses to describe and in an official capacity that you have to be in you tend to be nervous, but just remember your telling the truth and he is a doctor who I assume should be aware of your condition. Good luck
Hi Harriet,
I found the same thing! Sit down when you are calm and write down how you are and the way things affect you, even write down examples of things that have happened. Then when you go in take the paper with you and read from it. That's what I had to do, and it was fine. It's extremely difficult just to say things normally, never mind when you are under the stress of an assessment or something. You have fibro, we get brain fog and forgetfulness, don't be worried about writing things down, it's the best way.
hope this helps
have a nice day

Thank you so much Boaer for replying and your advice I wasn't sure if they would let me take notes in to read from but I will do that, I will let you no how things go, kind regards Harriet X
No problem my pleasure, just be honest, and the union is a great idea, go get them girl 😉
Also write a daily journal of your symptoms to take with you to the dr appt.
blood test are important to rule out some other issues.
Take care
