I have a 5th and 4th metatarsal fracture and I remove my boots to sit at home, sometimes if I wiggle my toes by accident I regret my decision. It's never done me any harm, can't say if it's meant to be or not
I would say it would be fine as long as NWB and just sitting around but keep elevated.. Can be a right pain tho taking the boot on and off every time and having to put it back on just for the loo. Even the sound of the velcro is getting to me now. sx
Sorry to hear of your fracture. I'm in the same boat. 3 days with torn legimint and a chipped bone in my foot. Was told at the ER that you can take the boot off when resting. This does not make sense as you would think you need to stabilize a fracture. Can't wait to see bone specialist in 9 days. Best of luck to you.
I would give the department a call if your worried darlene. 9 days wait has always seemed a life time to me since my accident lol. Dont really think that taking the boot off while sitting/laying resting would do harm as your not moving around. speeding recovery to you. sx
