The doctor told me that I could have sex two weeks after my surgery date. I just masturbated for the first time and was nervous about what I would experience. He said nothing would come out and he was right. However I experienced a burning sensation in the prostate area for about a minute and a half. When I went to Pee I was expecting some blood but nothing. Just normal urine. The orgasm was somewhat muted not as pleasurable as before . I hope the burning sensation will not happen again next time. The burning sensation was about a 2 or 3 out of 10.
Gary I am sorry for what you are going through and there is nothing simple about prostectomy. That is a lot to go through You at least was able to do something maybe it will improve it has only been 2 weeks. I had a friend nice guy. He is gone now. He was 85. 20 years ago he had the same surgery because of cancer. He was not able to do anything again. And he know there was that chance. I hope thing will improve but give yourself some time to heal. Take care Ken
You gotta figure you're still healing. Just keep having erections whether you take it to climax or not. Need to keep Mr. Happy's blood flow going
You didn't waste any time ! I waited 8 weeks after my holep, which is a lesser op. The first time I felt normal sensations prior to climax, but nothing at climax at all, but didn't panic. Next time 30% of what I should. Always 90% retro. Most of the sensation had come back by 6 months, 2 months on I have it nearly all back but a but is lost forever. To be honest after a while it becomes hard to be objective. I did occasionally experience stinging sensation at the magic moment but very mild. Still occasionally do. I figure it is scarring on the ejaculatory ducts. Benefits >>> this issue. I do not regret having the op. You seem in remarkably good nick after a much bigger op than a HOLEP that only removed half. I think it was bold of you to take it that far after only 2 weeks, if I was your uro I'd have said wait for 8 weeks to avoid disturbing the operation site.
I am sure you'll be fine in time. Be interesting to hear.
Paul we all have that feeling to make sure all is right Should we or not Even when I had my Urolift I was told to wait 4 weeks I waited 7 day's after I had the catheter out That was 9 day's after I had the procedure. All was fine. Painful and some blood. Got yelled at by my doctor. But all is good. Take care Ken PS I think with what he had done he should have let his prostate heal for about 6 weeks. But we do what we must
I asked the Doctor Who I trust very much when can I have sex again. He said two weeks after your surgery date. He called today to see how I was doing and I asked him if it was normal to feel the burning sensation and he said absolutely don’t worry about it in time that will go away. So we’re good to go.
Very happy for you. But do take your time.and relax Enjoy and good sensation to you Ken
