It does look like hemorrhoids. I have some small ones and they do make the area feel itchy/tingly and raw, like you said. Since you can't go in until March to have it confirmed, just try to avoid straining at all costs. I haven't found any creams that help, but some people do. Maybe start with preparation H and see if that helps. They are very annoying!

this looks like a external hemorrhoid

Hi Ryan, this looks like an external hemorrhoid. You have sensitive mucosa which can become irritated if you have been straining & you produce mucous which can make it feel itchy & irritable. Hemorrhoids become enlarged by the straining, or being overweight, then aggravated by constipation or diarrhoea. While you wait to see your GP, cream such as Germoloid can be soothing & has lidocaine which has a numbing effect. Keep regular eating plenty of veg & friut, fibre such as lentils, porridge, wholemeal foods. 2 litres of water per day. Place your feet on a small step when you empty your bowels, breathe deeply as you pass the stool, don't hold your breath force or strain as this causes the hemorrhoid to swell. Hope this helps.

I have something that looks very similar and its been the worst 4 months of my life. My doctors have told me it's fissures but I'm still having a hard time accepting the diagnosis because I'm terrified of std's. Did you ever get this resolved?

Yes, its hems. No stds lol im a straight male and nothing goes back there so that was never on my mind.
