After I have unprotected sex I end up with a discharge that doesn't smell so good. I've had the dischanger before and it went away but I've had unprotected sex recently and the fishy smell is back. I have no pain but I feel uncomfortable because of the ordor. Should my partner get checked? If so for what?
I'm sure its just bc which is bacteria vaginosis but yes both of you should get tested

Tested for what? The health center at my campus makes you tell the reason for the visit. Would I say we want to get tested for BV? lol no right because that's only for women or how do we say it?
Thank you.
Thank you I will look in purchasing a pH balance intimae wash. Should my partner get one as well??
Thank you.
Lol no just say you're having discharge (if you are) with a foul odor
Hey,
a similar story happned to me, my boyfriend and I were having protected sex for a while and finally when we decided not to use protection I got the same symptoms you did. when I went to the doctore, she told me it was BV. Pretty much depending on your partner and the PH of his semen having unpretected sex is a common cause of BV. Your Vigina has an alkaline environment and semen is usually more acidic, which can disrupt the normal PH of your vagina. this causes the good bacterias of your vagina to be killed and the bad ones to take over. if you were prescribed an antibiotic make sure that at the end of the treatment you take steps to bring back the good bacterias. usually eating alot of yougurt with live active cultures, (e.g., Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus) does the trick for me. Also i avoid using intimate liquid soaps even though they claim to maintain Ph balance. Your vagina only needs water to clean itself.
hope that helped.
