Flair up and pain.

I was diag. around 3 yrs ago. My symptoms were redness, irritation, itching, little tears, pain with intercourse, fusing, and the white patches. A biopsy confirmed. I have had several flair ups with all the symptoms I named. In the last year, I have had 3 episodes where I wasn't sure if I was having a flair. Vaginal area becomes irritated but I have a dull ache in vag. area. When I urinate it feels like a UTI. Sometimes when urinating the burning and pain sensation goes up to my shoulders and head as a strange sensation. My vagina still feels a dull ache. When I go have a urine test for UTI and it is always neg. I try and go back and see if I have been careless with soap or tight pants or too much clob or too little or not wiping enough with water after peeing or anxiety or food. I never really can see anything except maybe stress. Anyway my questions are: Does this sound like a flair with vaginal pain. When women talk about the pain of LS, are they talking about the itch and irritation or is it a dull ache in the vagina. My vagina aches, I guess you could say hurts. It like having a UTI , but I don't. I had repaired maniscus surgery 10 days ago, could stress from surgery bring on flair.
