Hi, I've been dealing with some troublesome symptoms since gallbladder surgery about 9 months ago. One of those is the feeling that foods and liquids seem to "sit" in my stomach on the way down. My GI suspects impaired gastric accommodation rather than gastroparesis. Impaired accommodation is apparently very linked to dyspepsia which is what he has been describing my symptoms as. He has prescribed low dose (50mg) sulpiride which I'm a bit scared to take given that its main indications seem to be for treating psychosis and schizophrenia! Has anybody dealt with these symptoms, and functional dyspepsia, as a result of gallbladder surgery?
