I think I have frozen shoulder. Went to doctor and got cortisone shot in shoulder but no relief.
Within a month into the shoulder pain, I began to have tingling pain in the palm (same arm) just below my index finger and I now have difficulty picking up things with my thumb and index finger.
Starting yesterday I'm beginning to have that same strange tingling the ball of my left foot.
Anyone know what might be happening to me?
that's not frozen shoulder! You need to see another doctor and get properly diagnosed
Hi Carrie. This does not sound like FS at all, more like trapped or damaged nerves. Have you had an accident? Get to the Doc`s asap and get a scan - xrays wont show soft tissue damage. Good luck.
I find it interesting though that all of my other symptoms seem to be right on with all others in this forum regarding FS.Actually,I was happy to see that.
what type of doctor would you suggest?
I already saw a shoulder expert and he's the one who gave me the cortisone shot that did nothing for me.
And, forgot to mention, I have had no accident or injury.
I had recently gotten a couple of B12 shots in that arm so I don't know if that could have damaged a nerve.
Any orthopadic surgeon specialising in upper limbs. Sadly, depending on where you live depends on the expertise of the doctors. I am extremely lucky to live 5 mins from one of the top ortho hospitals in England. FS manifests itself differently for each sufferer and most of us do have some sort of sense disruption that includes the hand on the affected side but I have not heard of anything involving the foot unless from a frozen hip. Do some research yourself on specialist ortho docs in your area and then you have to persist with your gp to get a referal. To be honest, at the end of the day there is not a lot that can be done for FS though there will be those who strongly advocate surgical intervention. Personally, and I have had a failed procedure, if it is FS I would reccommend to leave well alone and just go with pain managment as it does eventually resolve itself, it just can take a long time, but, you need a proper diagnosis first. Find a good Rehabilitation doctor, preferably one who specializes in EMGs. Although a good Rehab doc might not need to perfrom an EMG on you. He will probably know what's wrong by the office visit. My husband is the one who diagnosed me after an ortho doc misdiagnosed me. So many people are unaware of Rehab docs and jump to an ortho. A rehab doc might be under Phsyiatrist, which is a field most Americans are unfamiliar with.

Yes it's definitely not a frozen shoulder and sounds like a trapped nerve or something! Go get it checked out good lunck and hope it's nothing too sinister
