3 weeks ago i had my gall bladder removed. I have constant diarrhoea but have been told this will settle. However I have now got extremely sore abdominal muscles and pain in the region of incisions.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
I'm only two days post op and my pain is unreal. An ice pack helps. I'm trying not to take the pain meds because they are constipating which makes the pain worse. I can imagine it takes awhile for all the tissue to heal inside your body and the fact they were tugging around your muscles will make them sore. Hope it goes away soon for you.

Sadly for me I've had the dreaded diarrhoea since around 5 days post op. I'm so sore. I think they underestimate just how painful this can be.

The loose stools could be your body just trying to normalize. How often do you have it? Hopefully it settles soon.
Yes- I'm incredibly sore. I stopped pain pills yesterday. I'm finding an ice pack helps a lot. Are you back to work yet?
I am 8 weeks post op and the diarrhoea has only just settled down. My stomach muscles were very tender for about 3 weeks and my incision scars are still sore from time to time. But I still think it's worth it compared to the gallery bladder pain. Hope your feeling better soon
Hi yes I did have same pain , hurts to move sneeze cough ect.... i thought it would never end . My pain lasted till week 5 , then magically disappeared. I'm now pain free & can eat anything I want , hope this helps .
