First post on this site but just wanted to know if anyone had experienced this also?
I had my gall bladder taken out by keyhole surgery 2 weeks ago all other wounds have been fine and healing nicely!
Apart from my belly button one! I have been to my doctors and seen the nurse practitioner as it started oozing today and thought this was odd after 2 weeks she said all was fine and Its just a blister over the wound!
Her advice was to clean in the shower and keep it dressed afterwards which I'm fine with however, just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this and had some additional advice?

Interessant... bin selbst erst eine Woche raus und die Steri-Strips sind noch dran - hatte eine Drainage, daher konnte ich sie die ersten Tage nicht nass machen... ich werde jetzt ein Auge auf sie haben. Viel Glück!
Ahhhh I didn't have any steri strips my wounds have been glued and then had dressing on the top for the first few days!
And yeah keep a look out isn't very nice 😣
But I'm sure you will heal fine get plenty of rest and good luck to you 😊
Ich hatte etwas Ausfluss aus meiner Bauchnabelnarbe. Ich hatte auch einen Drain, deshalb habe ich mich die ersten 5 Tage nicht geduscht (nur so eine Art Waschlappenbad gemacht). Eine Woche oder so später begann es zu eitern. Solange es klar ist und nicht eiterig/blutig, nicht schrecklich riecht (meins roch, aber nicht schlimm) und nicht wehtut, ist es in Ordnung. Es eitere nur etwa eine Woche lang und dann nicht mehr. Ich würde es nur mit einem Tuch reinigen, wenn es sich komisch anfühlte, aber es definitiv jeden Abend in der Dusche sanft ausspülen/abwaschen.

The belly button wound seems to be the problem for most people haha.
