Gallbladder removed

I had my gallbladder out in August and since then have direara all the time. Anyone else have this problem

yes i have the same issue. started 6 months after surgery. its called Bile Acid Malabsorption. it happens to a large group of us post gallbladder surgery. there are facebook groups that are helpful. what works is either a prescription bile acid sequestrant(absorber) like Questran, or Welchol, ask your doctor. without the gallbladder the bile is left dripping in your stomach while you sleep. I am able to manage the loose stools by taking natural versions of a bile acid absorber. These are Acacia Fiber, Psyllium Husk and oat meal all soluble fibers, some also use green banana flour. all sold on Amazon.
My routine is I take two pysllium husk pills from NOW food before bed. when i wake i drink a tablespooon of Acacia Fiber powder and a tsp of Psyllium husk powder i blend it with a handheld frother in plain water. then i eat a bowl of plain oatmeal with a banana. this works so that i can eat normally all day. I do NOT drink caffeine /dark dark chocolate , just decaf coffee now . I also stick to a low fat diet, and mostly gluten free. if i stop the fiber powders i will be back in the bathroom all day. So its a must that you take something to absorb the excess bile either natural or the prescription.
good luck.

Yes I have had this problem too. I take a medication called cholestyramine it’s a bile binder and it has helped so much. It’s a powder you mix in water and drink but it’s pretty chalky and bad tasting but worth it. I usually drink some juice with it to get it down.
