So throughout summer 2016 I started feeling gradually more and more bloated after meals, slight acid reflux -although it was minor. Eventually it escalated and I want to my GP. And in November/December I was given an endoscopy, and was told I had mild biliary gastritis, but with a small ulcer in my oesophagus and a hernia that was unrelated apparently. I had little actually dialogue with the consultant and was told it was "lifestyle choices", despite the fact that I was vegan at the time, and just drunk socially, oh and didn't really take pain meds particularly often.
Anyway fast forward to now, and I've been on PPIs twice with no joy, eat a pretty decent diet of mostly just meat and vegetables, no alcohol etc and I'm still constantly bloated and uncomfortable. It's curious to me that I don't really suffer from heartburn or acid reflux often either, just really severe bloating and occasionally pain. I'm only 30, and I'm beyond frustrated, just wondered if anyone else had had a similar experience? Or anyone has any insights?
Thanks
