Hi all,
I have posted before and everyone is so lovely thought I would post again.
I have been diagnosed with gad after a stomach infection I wound myself up so much about it being something else I have had countless dr visits and a&e visits always saying anxiety.
I have had full bloods all clear white cells a little raised a internal down there all clear 2 stomach inspections all clear and 3 clear urine samples.
The problem is I still have daily physical symptoms and wondered if anyone has the same?
I have ibs symptoms which the dr thinks is pi ibs I have a constant back ache, bloating underneath ribs, little niggles and aches all over the place but mostly under ribs my periods are all over the place.
None of this is enough to make me take pain killers but it's effecting my daily life and whenever I get 5 mins I turn to dr google for help 🤦♂️ Never helps just winds me up more.
I have cut my hours down at work and take sertraline 50mg which helps with my head it's just the physical symptoms I can accept it's anxiety causing all this but it doesn't clear up the symptoms.
I am at my wits end with it and thinking about taking a year off my job so I can pull myself together this has all come on after a long period of stress I got married and bullied by my i laws really horrible.
Please tell me someone understands I have tried cbt but can't make it help with physical symptoms.
Please help anyone 😐
Hi Linzi,
There are so many of us here who understand, who have some of the same symptoms. The symptoms will subside when the anxiety subsides.
Do you practice any coping skills such as walking, talking to a friend, writing in a journal, deep breathing, etc?? They can really help to get you through.
I wish CBT were working for you. I am going to a weekly therapy session and it is helping me somewhat. It is nice to talk face to face with others who are experiencing the same thing.
Hang in there. Hugs to you.
Linzi
If your problems started after you married, that is the problem, you need to address what is going on in your life. Many people have difficulties taking twelve months of and it would be sad for you, I would imagine if you did not have that interreaction with people you work with
Try Relaxation Techniques and Breathing Techniques, an explanation in Related Information on this page.
If you are anxious you may have problems once a month as you explain so it is important for you to move on and gain support and help yourself.
I do not know what job you do, if it is heavy or light where you do manual work, your Doctor knows what you do so He can advise. Does your husband give you a bad time

Hi all my husband is my biggest support the silly think is I don't feel anxious so when the anxiety subsides the symptoms are still there is that makes sense? It's a viscous cycle so I tell myself I accept it's anxiety so why won't the physical symptoms go away.
I am a pharmacist so quite stressful x
Bless you linzi
Anxiety does create all these physical symptoms that make you feel so rubbish and so ill.
Focus on getting your mind clear and relaxed and the physical symptoms start to fade.
Research help with anxiety.
I found most of the stuff that helped me on you tube.
Oxford university studies on mindfulness for anxiety was the best i found and learnt to do meditation.
Stay strong be gentle with your self.
