Genital Warts Experiences

Hey everyone,

Just wondered what all your personal al experiences with HPV genital warts are? I was diagnosed in February and the warts are now nearly completely gone. It’s taken three different treatments to get to this stage and I’ve felt quite deflated at times due to them not disappearing! However, they’re nearly on there way.

What info were you given by nurses/doctors etc regarding the HPV virus? I was told I wouldn’t have to disclose due to it being such a common infection, the chances are that future partners would have already been exposed. However my anxiety is through the roof at the thought of passing it on to someone else, yet on the internet it says that most people clear it within 2 years?

Also, how long did it take for you to clear the warts? Have you had any recurrences? Have you ever passed it on?

Honestly I have so many questions and there just doesn’t seem to be one straight answer! It sucks!

hey, i recently found out a wart was on my penis from years of the wart being there. I thought it was a skin tag. Unfortunately I was wrong! It was only one and had been their since the end of 2015, and of course it was removed last month June 2019. From my knowledge i haven’t spread it to others and even more unusual none of my partners from 2015 until now which were six females ever questioned it. To be fair it resembled a hair bump. My PC didnt think it was a wart. However, i asked to have a biopsy any way. And like I stated before a wart squamous papilloma to be specific, NO dysplasia or Malignant seen, so, that was plus.
yes I’ve read, it can clear your body in two years. however, ive seen conflicting information.
MY doctor even told me in confidence he gave his wife warts in med school, they later married. Im getting married soon. so, dating isn’t really an issue I have. Just keep your head up, your not alone. disclosing to partners thats your call. me personally, I would wait until im wart free and always use protection. its funny the sex has slowed up between me and my future wife. before we new what it was, it was sex all the time we got back together in 2016, however, after finding out its hpv… p.s. she doesnt have warts, had a normal pap while pregnant with our daughter, she’s never had the hpv shot either. so, its hope. I stil
google a lot about the disease and hope maybe in 10 years (im 29 currently) they will have a cure for people already infected who never had the vaccine. keep your head up your not alone
