I’ve been following this blog for many many years - 10? My LS got worse upon menopause and I got a verbal confirmation of LS from my primary doctor. Last October, I decided to shell out the cash of $1800.00 to have the Mona Lisa treatment, St. Louis. I could not stand it any more. However, when I arrived, the educated doctor took two biopsy plugs instead. These were sent off and came back possible cancer. I was sent to a Oncologist specializing in female organs. Dr. W, St. Louis, looked at it and thought it was pre-cancer, not LS. On Christmas eve, I had all of it surgically removed. A very large amount but thankfully the skin there is very forgiving. The lab came back pre-cancer with clear margins. WHEW!!! No LS.
My symptoms matched LS to a T. Pain, itching, spreading.
My message to all of you is to get a biopsy done. I have suffered with this for 10 years needlessly. Hind sight is 20/20 and I wish I would have done things different. Please don’t make my mistake. Be sure and get a biopsy.
I don’t want you to possibly suffer needlessly or it develop into full blown cancer.
