Going under the knife on the 24th

Well going under the knife on the 24th can't wait, really looking forward to it, yes it will be painfully but that will go away not like the prolapsed disc pain I have now

It's down on the calendar as kebab time

I'm not sure what they are going to do whether they will just shave the discs or remove them, either way I'm happy that they will make the decision then and there.

I'm booked in a private hospital on the nhs with a well known back surgeon.

Finally a might get rid of this good dam awful pain. Just how I've stayed away from the anti depressants I reslly don't know.

Not liking forward to no being able to pick up the youngest that will be hard for sure.

I'll keep people informed of my progress of it helps

Good luck, hope it all goes well, please let us know how it went.

A rather interesting perception on your operation Smeggedup haha, kebab???

Anyway you will be fine, just remember to manage your pain afterwards, lots of pain killers & rehab. Rest, sleep, walk as much as you can, stay positive & surround yourself with amazing people

Hi nick

Yes I don't fancy dwelling on anything negative my wife is doing all that herself.

It's a great thing they've finally offered to operate I never thought I'd get there with all the red tape. If it Means I might not be in the horrible pain for life then let's go ahead.

What kind of pain killers are the norm for after back surgery?

Already got oramorph

Good luck!  I'm going under the knife myself on the 23rd.  Like you I'm actually looking forward to it - the pain has got so unbearable I can barely put one foot in front of the other.  The decision was a no brainer for me and the surgeon.
