Hi. I was also on Citalopram and flux, and they both did absolutely nothing, and my depression and anxiety even got worse!. I was crying all the time, felt hopelessly depressed, and was put on Mirtazapine. After just 4 weeks, what a difference it made!. I was going jogging, walking the dog again, back into music, and am now still on Mirtazapine (45 Mg) after 2 years. My mood is a lot lot better, and I feel like a completly different person, and look forward to the future again. So I would definatley reccomend people to stick with Mirtazapine, even if it dosen't work in the first couple of weeks, because in my experience it was the third week when I really really did start to feel a lot better. Hope this information can be of help.
