At last I am going in for the first of the two ops, right leg first after three years of worsening pain and painkiller drugs that just dont work...

16 May in the afternoon I am pleased that the time has at last come round and start to get my life back...Will post here from time to time for interested people.

Wishing you all the best of luck! At least you will soon be on the road to recovery and let's hope a decent summer!! Make sure you have a good team of people to help you when you come home! Regards Amanda

Good luck Ian, I'm in for second thr on 20th, so will be more or less at same stage. My new hip is now pain free and feels strong at 12 weeks, just need to get other one sorted!

Hi all thanks for all the kind words and replies, nice to know people are out there reading from this website, will update as the recovery progresses so others can learn from my process.
