Bigger shock was receiving a phone call from the surgeons secretary and been given a date!!

9th June!!

Now the nerves are gonna set in!

Good luck llinzh. Hope you have a lovely summer where you are so that you can recover in the sun. I'm seeing consultant. tomorrow so hopefully will find out when I might get op

I wish you luck. I have my op on Thursday. When I took the phone call I felt as though a weight had been lifted hope thats how you feel too ((((hugs))))

Great.  Now you have a date, you can start planning your recovery, making sure you have all the aids you need and everything you need to take into hospital with you.  Don't get nervous, everything will be okay and you will feel so much better afterwards.  If you have any worries or concerns, you can always come on here and we will help if we can.  Good luck.

Good luck. You will probably be so busy getting organised at home that you won't have time for the nerves to get bad. 9th june is the day of my post op 6 week meet with the surgeon!

Yes it is a bit mof a shock to the system when surgeons decided to tell there secretary to do that. That is exactly what happened to me. I was so nervous but I hat hospityals any way and have a really bad needle phobia so that doesn't help either.

The op was no prob , it will not be easy afterwards but at least it will be over ! 

I am 16 weeks on Thurs and going on my first hol on Fri . Can't believe how quickly the time has gone . For me waiting 15 months for a date was the worst part .

And now I discover I have a wedding 2.5 weeks after op! Oh well I'll borrow a wheel chair ☺️

And so it goes ... LOL .... I got my date in the mail ... no matter what, you are here now and so much better prepared than I was - I found this forum 3 weeks post-op - it would have saved me lots of worries and anxiety ..... take a deep breath Linzi - all is well ...

That's good no doubt you will l l be pleased when it is all over just remember to do what the nurses and physio people say i.e. no bending and twisting

That's good news for you, I have my opp on Thursday , it's all a bit scary but on the other hand can't wait to get it done, Benin suffering to long.
