I am on a very low dose of mirtazapine, has anyone else noticed their hair became quite dry, brittle, static and then started falling out, quite quickly after starting to take it ?? I took this drug 10 years ago and noticed alot of my have fell out when I was on it. I have just started taking it again and only one week into it and my hair has started to change already, I don't know if I am going crazy ??

I noticed my hair became extremely brittle and quite a bit of hair loss! But definately very very brittle
Hi how long were you on it for before you noticed ? I have only been on it 1 week and it's already starting, my hair has become very static and brittle, I have decided to come off it before it gets any worse, just trying to work out how I'm going to wean myself from 15gms off it as fast as possible without my anxiety getting out of control
Hi Chris this may sound silly but for some reason I decided to look up the side effects of Mirtazapine today as I do not have alot of hair left. I have been on this med 15mg daily for a few years now but I never connected the two. I could not understand that my nails grow easily but my hair has steadily been falling out for some time. I have been to the Drs and not once did they make the connection wow I can't believe it I finally have an answer for my hair loss. I would say I used to have enough hair to be able to donate hair for wigs now I use clip in hair so I have some! The problem I now face is that this medication works for me and I have tried a few. Sorry I have babbled on a bit but I hope it answers your question.
