Has anyone else experienced these symptoms?

Hi so my life has been pretty stressful in the last two weeks. I've developed new symptoms that everyone including my doc believe are related to my anxiety but I'm worried they're wrong. It all started when I started a new job. Initially I didn't notice any of the symptoms but as my stress increased and the event of watching my dog have her first seizure happened I started getting these weird symptoms. I get this feeling like I'm constantly on the verge of having a seizure ( never had one), it feels like my head is full of energy and electricity and sometimes when I get overstimulated this feeling causes me to twitch in the face or full body jerk (just one at a time not convulse), I'm totally conscious through it all. I also have this bizarre pressure feeling in between my eyes, behind my eyes and in my head. I have these symptoms along with noise and light sensitivity not to mention I've been experiencing muscle spasms all over my body. Has anyone else been through this, is this anxiety, can anxiety really make me feel I'm on the verge of a seizure? These feelings are destroying me and I need to know what they are.

have you told your doctor about this?   talk to your doctor. and see what is going on.. !!!!!

Yes to it all.  Light sensitivity is one of my first symptoms.  I wear sunglasses a lot even indoors at night.  Adrenalin response heightens your senses to react to possible danger.  This can mean twitchy parts ready to defend or run and your senses actually being magnified looking for danger.

I have had those feelings. Laying down and I feel like at any point my body is going to seize. And I tighten up. I have had consistent symptoms for the last 5 days. Non stop. They keep saying anxiety. I don’t believe it.

My heart rate is so much higher than normal all day everyday.

I fall asleep and jerk awake with my heart racing and I’m scared.

I feel shaky all over

Hey Johnny,

YES YES AND Yes!  Go see a neurologist. Do you wear glasses?

.

Sometimes yes. On overcast days I'm fine. I'd wear earplugs too but they're too inconvenient.

Hey Johnny,

Back in January 2016 I was at work and started feeling weird. I was sweating then freezing my ears clogged and started getting dizzy. I got this nervous energy and went to men’s room and splashed water on my face. It was not pretty. It lasted about 30 min but it felt like hours to me. I was getting this 2-3 times a day. I took low dose of Xanax and it helped. After a couple months It started coming back. My ears were so clogged and I was going to fly a long flight a month away. I went to ENT and he did that test with the camera up my nose and I was fine. I had sinus scans also and all good. I took Zyrtec like he suggested. One day driving home on a Friday it started in the car I couldn’t remember how to get home. I pulled over and did breathing & music and I calmed myself down and remembered how to get home. I was a mess 🤯my neighbor took me to ER and I had a lot of  tests. Nothing ! they said it’s panic attacks. I saw several dr and they all said just take a day or two off from work and I’ll be fine. 😬 i was so convinced I was dying. I had a routine eye exam with my ophthalmologist and told him what happened. He did a lot of test and said I didn’t have a tumor. I was so convinced they were all missing something. My ophthalmologist sent me to a neurologist and he had me have another MRI with and without contrast.

And then he prescribed celexa(citalopram) and I’ve been on it for 17 weeks and I just have been starting to come back to myself. It’s worked great for me🙏🏻.  I now believe all the symptoms I had was anxiety.

I hope this helps. I know it’s scary what you are going through.

That sounds horrible man, what a nightmare ahaha. Anxiety is a jerk, when you get used to its symptoms it creates totally different, freakier ones to get your attention and make you anxious again. In the last 2 years I've had bouts of a falling sensation, lack of coordination, derealization, depersonalization, seizure feelings, myoclonus jerks, dizziness, headaches, spasms... AND ITS ALL ANXIETY!!! Ahaha, stay strong bro

Thanks Johnny I had the falling also. I’m dealing with the face/teeth pain. It so slowly dissipating. This forum reals helps,
