Is the side effect of the urinary incontinence common for the large prostate after the aquablation therapy?
Comecei a ter problemas para urinar após a cirurgia de Aquablação. O que começou como uma cirurgia ambulatorial, na qual removeram meu cateter após a operação, acabou resultando em minha incapacidade de urinar, fazendo com que o cateter fosse reinsertado e eu passasse a noite no hospital. Fui liberado na manhã tardia, fui para casa e tive o cateter removido cerca de 3 a 4 dias depois, em meu hospital local! Não tive nenhum problema durante os primeiros meses, mas depois comecei a urinar com mais frequência do que antes da cirurgia. A única maneira de parar a micção frequente é tomar meu Flomax genérico ou parar de ingerir líquidos. Outro especialista prescreveu Gemtesa, além do tamsulosina que já estou tomando. Ele chama isso de bexiga hiperativa, mas está encobrindo os erros de seus colegas da Colorado Urology!
So there is no urinary incontinence but frequent urination worsening after the Aquablation therapy, right? Have you investigated what causes the frequent urination worsening after the Aquablibation therapy?
I had aquablation done Jan 20, 2026. I kept the foley for one week. After I took it out I had slight incontinence when the bladder was full and I bent over. I wore depends for two weeks after removing the foley and stopped taking flowmax, as my stream was OK and I was already light headed due to loss of blood from the aquablation. The flomax just made the lightheadedness worse. The incontinence improved so that at the 4 week mark it was not a problem any more.
