Me again....
So I have just found out that my FSH level on day 8 of my cycle was 6.5. Having goggled it, isn’t that really great?
However, I am convinced my symptoms are Peri related. I do still have regular periods but are now coming closer together.
Has anyone had good FSH levels and still in Peri stage?
I am 45 by the way.
Thank you xxx
Hi Louise, yes I had my first reading as 6 when I first got symptoms, then a few months later it was 14 - so just above the top range, so most doctors just say that I’m not menopausal, but I’ve had lots of symptoms (sweats, nausea, acute mood swings) I’m 41, and my periods got really heavy and then really light so I know something hormonal is up - so I went to a private gyn who put me on hrt patches, explaining that it is the fluctuations in hormonal levels which cause the issues, a that these never get picked up in blood tests so he instead goes on symptoms, I’ve been on hrt for a month and have improved a bit, but I know if can take months to work fully so just hanging in there like we all are!! Some of us are just extra sensitive to hormones, so we need to be confident with our own bodies x
Thank you Karen, that is really reassuring. Deep down I know it’s my hormones as things change with my monthly cycle.
Keep us all posted on your progress
Xxx
Hello Karen, I would like to as you if you are still having monthly periods and the doctor prescribed you HRT?
I am still having my periods every month but terrible peri symptoms most of the days.
I hope you are doing better as the time goes by....
