Dehydration is something I was dealing with so the suggestions that it could be related to electrolytes makes sense.
I think I would even go as far as to say it is potassium, the electrolytes are replenishing minerals, but I think the major one we should focus on is potassium. If anyone gets blood work done, see if your potassium is low. Mine has been and we wrote it off from my recent dehydration. In fact I was even given potassium in the hospital and was never told why. Odds are I have had low potassium all along and a symptom of it is a nerve or muscle spasm. Pretty scary though thinking your heart is indeed a muscle that relies on potassium.
Check to see if you are low potassium, I have been low potassium I noticed in recent blood work.
I also started experiencing dizziness several years ago, was first told it was a reaction to ibuprofen and caffeine. Then I was told I had Meniere's Disease, then after getting a second opinion was told I DO NOT have Meniere's. After talking to my niece who was just finishing up her Residency as a medical doctor, she told me to monitor my blood pressure. Sure enough she was correct, my bottom number was running in the low 90's and had been consistently, it was just low enough for doctors to miss, but just high enough to make me feel dizzy. This being said, I am prone to dehydration, I never drink enough water and I have even had kidney stones as a result. I truly feel low potassium is contributing to the nerve vibration I have experienced in the past.
Never really thought about potassium . Vibrating is 24-7. Also have humming and tinnitus in my ears.
Hi , I have been on this post for awhile. I have 24-7 internal body vibrating. I get maybe 2 hours of sleep a night. Always wake up to vibrating and was wondering if you know of any suppliment that helps control Cortizol ? I'm thinking my levels might be too high. I take 1 grain nature thyroid and my levels are always good. when I get my blood work back.
dying here....
Michelle68080,
sodium, caffeine, alcohol, can cause ringing in the ears, especially if you have high blood pressure or Meniere's. Tingling in the extremities can be a number of things from glucose, to fibromyalgia, to even nerve damage in the neck or spine. You could have more than one thing going on, definitely keep pursuing answers until to can get some relief. In the meanwhile I would try backing off sodium (colas, even chocolate) and see if the ringing in your ears gets better, at least then you would have a starting point. Good luck, I know it can be frustrating.
Never sodium.I don't eat chocolate , never soda No alcohol. I have dropped my coffee to only one cup. Always have had a very low blood pressure. my glucose is perfect and was tested for FM.
Have had the ringing since 4/2016. But thanks for the respond. Had Rotator cuff surgery on 9/2015. Maybe something got pinched.
I've had blood drawn twice and never had low pot. I have been on a low carb no sugar diet for 2 weeks now and I'm still vibrating. I do have tenninitis as well but has had that for a long time. I do have high blood pressure that is under control. My neurologist wonders has wondered if because I only have these at night if I were to take blood levels at night would anything show up high? Those who only notice it at night, do you think it's because were more calm at night and we feel it easier?
I can wake up mid of night and it's started with a vengeance! Almost like I've been given a dose of adrenalin. In fact when I do get it -it's from when I get up. So who knows! I guess it's nothing dangerous especially if you have checked it out with your GP but we can each only try to find something that might help. I can only say that since doing a little big of cardio each night - skipping rope for 10 mins ! And adjusting my diet a little- it hasn't happened since but who knows. Good luck and will report back in a couple of weeks to say if it's happened again
And ps- when I do get it my ears ring. But when it stops so does the ringing
If you dont already, try adding a daily banana and things like avocado, coconut juice and leafy green veg all good- coconut has a bit of sodium so not too much but at worst they do nothing snd at best it might help?
Nuestro cuerpo no quiere descansar.
Good idea! As my mum used to say- its horrid but its ok and it all will pass!
Karin those words I love to hear it will pass can't wait
Get your skipping rope out and skip Forest, skip!!
¡Eres tan divertido! ¡Voy a sacar la cuerda que compré para mi hija hace unos años y empezar esta tarde!
I only noticed mine at night and when I was laying on my back. It could be that I noticed it because I wasn't doing other things, but I have only noticed it when laying down.
I've been listening to some meditation videos at night. the vibrating wakes me up. I call it the bee hive awakening. 👿
