I am a 15 year old male and have been diagnosed with PR. I came across this site and saw that Head and Shoulders had worked for many, I went out and bought some and then realised it was Head n Shoulders 2 in 1:
Did anyone use 2 in 1 for clearing the rash?
Should i go and buy the single shampoo?
Or does it not matter?
:S
only tried the shampoo myself, but give it a go anyway
I think the 2 in 1 will do just as well, it will just contain more of a softening agent than the normal one. The ingredient you want will still be in there....whatever it is ! Try to leave it on your skin for a few minutes rather than showering it off immediately.
It won't definitely 'clear the rash' but a few of us have noticed it helps. Hope it helps you too.
I had Rosea for c 10 months, it seemed to come and go in terms of severity. When I found this website I thought I'd try Head and shoulders, that was about 3 weeks ago and I've bathed and showered in nothing else since - it's completely gone now! I have changed nothing else in my life and having this for such a long time I can only give Head & Shoulders the full credit for this disappearing - either that or a very bizarre coincidence. I use the Head & Shoulders Silky Shine one (not 2 in 1 - didn't try that). It's the one with the pink writing. Go on give it a go! Good luck.
Diagnosed with PR last week, have had symptoms for about 3 weeks though. I bought Head and Shoulders 2 in 1 by mistake too, and have been using it for a week, without any effect so far. I mentioned H & S to my doctor, but she thinks it is more likely to help with pityriasis versicolor instead of rosea, as it has an anti-fungal agent. I will still be trying it, feel better trying something over nothing!
