Head Rushses !

Hello, I was wondering whether anyone else experiences head rushes with anxiety ? This doesn't happen just from sitting down to standing up suddenly, I can be sat at my desk just normally and....whoosh...a sudden wave passes through my head - very disturbing. I also feel a lot of tension / pressure behind eyes which builds gradually through the working day, by the end of day my balance feels very strange and head very tense - like I've been shoved head first into a pressure cooker. Does anyone experience this, and if so how do you cope ? I have been checked / scanned and nothing found wrong physically - the Doctor offered no real explanation as to the cause of head rushes and I have been prescribed with another med 'Nortriptyline' ? Would be great just to feel like a normal human being....

yes, those are common with anxiety. they can occur at anytime when you least expect it.
ive had them as well as others on this site.
The way I COPE is to always go to my breathing which is Breathe in slowly through the nose to the count of five and out through pursed lips to count of four. Do this several times. as you exhale, picture all tension flowing out.
Also, I STAY calm . when we react with anxiety, it gets worse.
Adrenaline rushes can cause the head rush. not harmful, but annoying.
there are many great audio meditations for anxiety, breathing on you tube!

Thank you Jan for re-assuring advice.

At work or in busy environments these problems do seem to be stronger, whilst walking about the office it feels like I am walking on the moon - once I get home or to my own surroundings the fog slowly lifts…
