Hey Guys,
Just wondering if any of you go through periods where after waking up in the morning your heart rate picks up to 90-100bpm for quite some time. Causing dizziness and feeling like you are running a marathon. So tired of it, stress I know is higher in the morning but after having my first panic attack 4 years ago I thought this sort of thing would have calmed down by now.
Do any of you guys go through this? and do you have any methods with which to stop these feelings in the mornings?
when we have anxiety condition, The adrenaline level is higher in the morning so that could be the reason why. my worst time of the day is in the morning also. just know that the symptoms you get are not dangerous. I’ve had anxiety since childhood and I think the morning anxiety and rapid heart rate started about five years ago.
However I do fight back because I refuse to feel like that all day long. One thing I do is a specific breathing technique that I found on YouTube that calms down the heart . I search for something called stop panic attack now then I scroll down to the one called don’t panic. It’s in black bold letters. it’s designed for panic attack however it slows the heart rate way down which is what I want. The voice guides you through it and it’s not very long.
There are also lots of other mindfulness breathing meditations. Breathing properly is the key to lowering the heart rate and bringing down the level of anxiety. it helps get rid of the adrenaline.
Thanks so much Jan, it’s a hell of a thing this anxiety. I appreciate your input and will check that video out on youtube.
I wonder if this morning anxiety will be a life-long thing, I certainly hope not :(. Best wishes to you!
I’m currently experiencing severe anxiety and same thing happens to me every morning. I’m trying to find a solution but no luck. It’s hard to deal with it everyday. Two days ago, I found out that honey can help with sleep. I tried to drink one spoon of honey with hot water before bed, and the next morning I noticed that it help a little bit. My heart was still racing but it slowed down quicker than before.
