over the passed years and after research and talking to doctors I've realised I have IBS. I never suffer with dihorea, just constipation.
Whenever I go to have a bowel movement, I'm straining for so long and nothing happens. I then go back to bed and half an hour later I'll feel the urge to go again and sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. All this straining can put me on the road for a water infection which drives me insane because I get them so often. However, if I can calm my IBS down then I should be able to steer clear of water infections.
I'm pretty sure it's triggered by anxiety which I can get on and off.
I kept a food diary and have realised things like too much dairy will make it worse, I should eat more veg that citrus fruits, things that contain oats help and lots of water helps (I drink around 2L a day).
Any help with how to calm yourself down or any foods that ease your tummy / constipation generally would be great x
Hi Rebecca I have suffered with Ibs for a few years now, I have tried everything going and cutting out food etc, I came across an article in daily mail about symprove, it is live bacteria tota different from the yogurts etc, u keep it in fridge and take it every morning 10 mins before food and drink. I can't believe how much it has helped I go to the toilet normal should I say everyday and stomach has gone down loads, I basically eat what I want now. Only down fall is the cost as the doctors has never heard of it so can't get it on prescription, it £158 for 12 week course yes expensive but the only think that has worked, hope this has helped a little, hope you feel better soon
Thank you that's really helpful I'll have to look it up! It's a shame it's not proven by doctors because that's so expensive! Haha, so you continue to take that everyday even if you're feeling better?
I know tell me about it, yes u can lower it after 12 weeks but I tried and it got worse, I have mentioned it to a couple of doctors and never heard of it, think they even sell it on amazon, I get my from local health shop
