HELP!!! I have been losing sleep over this?! Is this a rash or herpes…

Hi everyone! So i have been very careful and made sure that i am clean and have protected sex with a condom and everything. I even had a STI test coming back negative 2 weeks ago. Anyways the last couple days i have noticed flesh coloured bumbs looking like pimples near my anus and now they have been inflamed and been painful and when i have tried searching it up, my symptoms mirror the ones for genital herpes… i am so worried, i woukd have called a gum clinic but its shut and they don’t open on weekends so if anyone can tell me what it is for a peace of mind and if they are herpes then i rather know now before calling them.

appears to be herpes. the infection can be effectively treated with antiviral drugs (aciclovir, valaciclovir or famciclovir). be careful that it doesn’t extend into the vaginal area as well. do you have more photos to get a complete overview? it will be important to wash and change your intimal clothes several times a day without rubbing the area with towels to dry but pat gently, avoiding rubbing.

this looks like herpes. remember herpes can still be passed on during sex with a condom. only skin to skin contact is needed. so if your partner had a breakout somewhere that wasnt his penis - you could get infected. also many people are non-symptomatic so that means they may not be aware that they have herpes and pass it on that way.

get to a doctor asap for treatment

my sores have healed in 3-5 days, and i didn’t have the chance to go to the doctors as i was on my period. -any chance you know what to say to the doctor if my sores have healed and can they still test me to find out of i have herpes?

i haven’t gone to the doctors yet and my sores have healed. do you think the doctors can still swab or test me for herpes if the sores have healed?

update- my sores have healed and i don’t see any signs of new sores. did anyone have the same as me and was tested for herpes. i will be going to the doctors soon but would like a little heads up :slight_smile:

it’s important that you show your full intimal area and perineum to to understand the state of healing.

anyways the sores have healed up and theres no scabs or anythinng so can i still get it swabbed or is there another way i could get tested?

Yes my initial outbreak was like that and I tested positive. It gets better

just called a clinic and they are not letting me come and said to not worry because my sores have healed and they got nothing to swab. so here i am still confused. they said to come back if it reappears again but to continue my life as normal

if there is a drop in immunity, the error may reappear, but if you have nothing left for now, you can rest easy. the photo was much clearer
