Hi, i am from Holland and found this forum.
I am suffering from anxiety en tried many adds, nothing helps, i was going sky high.
Now i am taking Mirtazapine and have tried it in diferent doses.
30 mg was too much and 15 mg too, i would sleeping al day.
And 15 mg makes me angry en depressive.
Now i am on 7.50 mg and my sleep is good but after one hour the anxiety comes back and i can do nothing, have diazepam four times a day 5 mg.
Is there someone who takes 11.25 mg that helpes against anxiety?
I have been dealing with it for 4 years now.

I have been back to my doctor and he has send me too a pdoc in 2015 because al of the ssri´s don´t work for me, i have tried four for more than 6 weeks and the only thing was that i flew high as a kite and went almost nuts.
My pdoc tried two ssri´s and also went nuts.
Mirtazapine is the only medicine i can cope with.
But it is not enough for the every day life.
So that´s why i asked here of there is someone with good results with 11.25 mg before i try it.
For now i will stick for a couple of days on 7.50 mg and see what that will do about two weeks.

Je ne pense pas que modifier la dose exacte de mirtazapine (mirt) aidera beaucoup. Je vous suggère d'essayer de rester sur le mirt mais d'AJOUTER un ISRS (par exemple, la sertraline) pour aider avec l'anxiété.
Cela fonctionne pour moi.

I have tried Sertraline, Cipramil and Prozac, and none of them was very helpfull. I will stay on Mirtazapine, it works for awakening in the morning against anxiety.
The pdoc says that i maybe miss an enzym that breaks the medecine in the liver, so it build up and that results in more and more panic.
It´s a difficult issue what to do. I can use ssri´s but in a very low dose.

Bonjour, je vis au Canada et je trouve ce forum excellent. La principale différence semble être les systèmes de santé.
On m'a diagnostiqué un trouble d'anxiété généralisée, ainsi qu'un trouble bipolaire. Je prends de la Mirtazapine depuis plusieurs années pour le sommeil (au moins 10 ans). CEPENDANT, la Mirtazapine ne m'aide pas pour mon anxiété. J'ai pris un Benzodiazépine pour l'anxiété et cela fonctionne bien pour moi (Clonazépam). Cependant, je mettrais en garde quiconque à propos de la prise de "Benzos" car ils ont des effets secondaires tels que l'addiction. Il y a des tonnes de choses à lire sur Internet. Tout cela dit, j'ai peur quand je pense à essayer de me débrouiller sans benzo.
Quelques choses que j'essaie sont la Pleine conscience, la TCC (Thérapie Cognitivo-Comportementale), le counseling, les Visualisations guidées / CDs. Je vous souhaite du bien et j'espère que vous trouverez des moyens de calmer l'anxiété.

Yes it is really an excellent forum.
I also was diagnosed with an anxietx disorder and after a couple of days they chanched it in an depressif order but i don´t think that i am depressif.

I have 20 years benzo´s, more or less. The next year i must swallow more of that stuff because of building up the ssri´s.
I came from 6 pills a day and now 4.
I now there are very addictif, i am addicted i no.
I have an appointment for CBT next month.

Votre anglais est tout à fait compréhensible. Vous semblez très bien informée sur les benzodiazépines - elles étaient autrefois prescrites sans toutes les préoccupations qui existent maintenant. Il peut encore s'agir d'un médicament utilisé lorsque rien d'autre ne fonctionne pour l'anxiété.
Je vous souhaite bonne chance avec la TCC, je pense que c'est un excellent outil, mais ce n'est pas instantané.
Envoie des pensées positives de ton côté, fais-nous savoir ce que dit ton médecin -

Yes i know what benzo´s are doing en that they are very addicted.
The pdoc have said in the past that if i can not cope with ad i must take benzo´s inplace.
But the mirt does something in the morning and evening when i am going to sleep, i don´t feel my heartbeat so hard as usual.
I have been only one time there and in al these years it´s the one who is listening, realy listening.

Désolé pour votre souffrance. Je tenais simplement à ajouter que les doses plus faibles de Mirtazapine sont plus sédatives, certaines personnes trouvent que 7,5 mg est plus sédatif que 15 mg. Également, l'échange des doses peut vous rendre encore plus anxieux, surtout pendant la première semaine ou les dix premiers jours, alors ne montez pas et ne descendez pas les doses, restez simplement à la même dose. Je pense que vous trouverez que 11,25 mg fonctionne très bien contre l'anxiété, même 7,5 mg fonctionne bien.

Yes i know that the lower the dose is how more sedating. It´s rare i have tried 30mg in the beginning, the dr gave it to me because i was in panic about another ssri.
I could do nothing and was hanging on the chair al day.
15 mg makes me to drowsy to and angry and depressiv.
Now by 7.5 mg my head has been more cleared and i am able to walk again and willing things to do, that was not by taken 15 mg, then i cared for nothing, the whole world was black in my head.
I have been making the mistake in 2015 to go up en down the dose so often that i didn´t know what works for me. Now i am trying to stick with 7.5 mg because it feels a little better.
I have tried 30 mg 6 weeks.
So when 7.5 is not working enough after a while i can always try 11.25 mg.
The time must do it

Bonne chance Karin, le 7,5 mg est bon pour le sommeil, définitivement la meilleure dose (pour moi) pour le sommeil, et pour moi personnellement plus sédatif que 15 mg, ou 11,25, même maintenant je suis à 4,2 mg je suis sédaté après avoir pris mon Mirt il y a 20 heures (la nuit dernière) !

Oui, je réduis progressivement ma dose de Mirt maintenant, très lentement. Et oui, j'ai du Mirt liquide ~ il est disponible ici au Royaume-Uni, je ne sais pas s'il est disponible là-bas, vous devrez vous renseigner. Si ce n'est pas le cas, renseignez-vous si les comprimés solubles de Mirtazapine sont disponibles, ils se dissolvent sur votre langue, mais peuvent être dissous dans l'eau et ensuite, avec une seringue graduée, peuvent être divisés en doses plus petites.

Merci Karin, Betsy utilise les comprimés Sol Tabs, crédit à elle pour ce conseil : Sol Tabs se dissolvent facilement dans l'eau mais il se dépose, elle utilise moitié eau et moitié liquide de suspension Ora-Plus (disponible sur Amazon), ce dernier maintient le Mirt en suspension suffisamment longtemps pour doser avec précision.
