I was diganosed with gential Herpes, a very mild case, but I was very sick with it, my immune system is very very low, due to having atoimmune disease, Now I have Herpes in my eyes. Has anyone else had this, I haven't had any more blisters, but have had some itch. Eyes are painful, can't go in the sun or bright light, just found thiis out today, its my birthday tomorrow, and I'll be home on the lounge. Not happy. I also want to know if someone who has had type 1 who does oral, can this cause type 2. I'm still wanting to know how I got this,( yes I know how)

Type one and two are different strains, but share 50% if the same.e DNA. So no, type 1 cannot turn into type 2.
I also have autoimmune disease's, but I got type 1 orally before them and my body suppresses it very well. I've never had a cold sore on the outside of my mouth. I got type 2 on my genitals, when getting diagnosed w autoimmune disease's and it's been a rough ride for me w type 2 and having autoimmune diseases. Hi thanks for your reply and for clearing that up for me. I got it in my eye due to it travelling thru my nervous system because my immune system is so low, I'm trying to increase my immune system with eating organic food, no chemicals, etc, and lots and lots of vitamins and herbal supplements, I'm not sure yet how to send you a private message thanks
