i didnt have symptoms since last april 25, 2015 which is the exposure i was talking about. does it mean i didnt get infected with herpes?
im scared because this july 13 my daughter has lots of sores in the roof of her mouth, and near her tonsils, 1 in tongue, 2 in buccal mucosa im not sure whether is it HERPANGINA or HERPES GINGIVOTOMATITIS.
and because of that i search a lot about herpes and i read about OCULAR HERPETIC INFECTIONS and also HSV1 can also damage the brain. which makes me more paranoid.
please help and inform me more about herpes
i want to have a test but it cost too much here in the philippines.
Anything is possible if oral sex was performed on someone who was having a outbreak then it's possible. Ocular Herpetic infection, and the other issue is not common. If your daughter is sexually active then you should take her to a clinic or doctor and get an STD evaluation. You need to educate her on STD's make sure she knows what the risks are, and pictures of what STD's might look like.
I don't understand the first part of your post regarding the questions and being infected and who had symptoms.
Why do you assume you got oral herpes from giving oral sex to start? secondly, if you got oral herpes, it is likely you got it from kissing, not from oral sex.
60% of people get oral herpes as kids or infants, from infected parents, adults or other kids. Part of being a living being, is living w viruses that are w us for life. Stop stressing, it will pass. As the other poster said, ocular herpes us not very common.
i dont know if i have an outbreak, im scared because when i finished shaving i got a cut 1 at the right side and 1 at the left side above the mouth, and it healed after 2 or 3 days i think. so i didnt know if it was an outbreak. but it happened 2 months and 2 weeks after my last oral exposure to a guy.
Well there's nothing you can do about it now. Nothing changes it and most do get this as infants or kids. This is very common and no reason to freak out. Herpes can be passed w or w out an OB present.
because i read that symptoms of HERPES occur 3 - 22 days average 6 days. since my last exposure to someone with unknown status is april 25, 2015 its been 2 months and 2 weeks and i still dont have symptoms. does this mean i dont have the virus?
Why not take her to the doctor to be swabbed? There's other things that can cause sores inside the mouth, other than herpes. Second, just because you have neevr had a cold sore, doesn't mean you don't carry the virus and could be asymptomatic like most people. Unless you ever had a blood test done for herpes, you wouldn't know for sure you don't carry it.
As far as being scared for your daughter if it does then out to be herpes, most have it.. It is harmless and there's nothing to be afraid of. Take her to the doctor and stop stressing out over something you don't even know for sure is herpes,
Ok.. So you just have self diagnosed what it was, when your doctors don't even know. So in all honesty, you can't even say it was oral herpes either. Let it go. If she had just caught it, it wouldn't be gone in 3 days if it was herpes, so I doubt that's what it is.
You're totally making stuff up in your head now. If she had oral herpes, she would have broke out on the outside of her mouth, she would have gotten very sick and been in pain.. This sounds more like guilt from your sexual indiscretions and you're projecting it onto this situation. Move on. Your daughter does not have herpes. You have no symptoms. There's no reason for you to think she does. Stay off google
