Hi, would someone give me some advice please. I have had 6 igg blood test and all have come back negative but I had what looks like ulcers under my anus. Could I have herpes and it not show up on my blood test? I don't know how to attach a picture of the ulcers otherwise I would. All my results have been the same type 1 <0.0100 and type 2 <0.500. Thanks for any info
Did you get them swabbed at the time? How long after the ulcers was the last IgG test?

No I didn't get them swabbed as I couldn't get to clinic as I was working. I had my 6th igg blood test about a week after I noticed them

I don't know what to do..as my igg blood tests have all come back negative. I can't keep paying for these tests as they are expensive but I need to until I know for sure if I have it or I don't. Could I be someone that it doesn't show up on a blood test?
I'm a be honest luv. Even if you test and have antibodies, but no outbreak they do not do anything but tell you to avoid sex if you have an outbreak, come in and swab. Next time you have an outbreak go in for a culture. That is the best way to know.
Ye. I just want to know so I can deal with it properly. Ye I always seem to get something pop up when I am at work so can't leave and don't really want to tell them were I am going. If I need time off work for a health appointment they want an appointment letter. I will go next time I have something come up even if I have to call in sick to make sure I get it swabbed as my blood tests are coming back negative. Do you know how I could put a picture up so people could give me their opinions on wether it looks like it or not? Thanks
The IgM test is not advised for herpes. Only IgG.
There is no need to test so often. If you have reason to fear infection but have no symptoms to swab, then test for IgG at 3+ months. That's all you need to do, besides a baseline test for reference purposes.
