When I went for my biopsy. I arrived early in the morning at my local hospital. I just had a local anaesthetic and he took 2 small samples. I was home again by lunchtime. I admit I had nerves beforehand but everyone was very kind and helpful. It helped them to give me a diagnosis LS and to show there was no malignancy. So that put my mind at rest and I have now learnt to live with my symptoms. I did find though that I needed the day after off work as I felt a bit yuk, I think that was just the anaesthetic getting out of my system though. If it hadn't been for that I would have been fine to work.

There is nothing anyone can say to take away your nerves and it is easy for me to say don't be nervous or worry. It is always the unknown that is the worse and the feeling we are out of control. Perhaps focus on Christmas if you can to help take your mind off things. Anything to take your mind off it. GOOD LUCK. I have noticed that even a "forced" smile makes it difficult to worry at the same time. Try it. BEST WISHES
