Okay, I hear about hips popping out. Does it pop from the front or to the side. I have pain on the side but presume if it pops out it would be at the front and I would not be able to walk.
Hi I had an anteria disclocation, felt like it was in my groin. and yes couldnit walk. could stand wanted to vomit
When my hip dislocated it was the worst pain imaginable. Horrible muscle spasms. Taken by ambulance to hospital. Went to surgery & under sedation it was put back in place...
The sound & sensation I will never forget!

well, popping out is different from popping sound -
my PT pressed a spot more on the back than front of pelvic to locate the hip joint when I mentioned that I had pain on side ...
a tendon, called the psoas , is rubbing against the new hip and might cause discomfort and popping sensation, -
most likely occurs while the hip is healing, and during turning the leg side to side.
Have it checked if you are worried or when it is getting more painful ... I was diagnosed with trochanteric Bursitis at some point -

If you're talking about dislocation I can say no popping noise. I dislocated mine, how I'm not sure, 3 weeks after my first rhr. No real pain as I was walking on it for at least a week! I guess I'm the odd ball as I did not have the excruciating pain associated with hip dislocation. I wound up having a total hip revision. I agree with Renee, have it checked to be sure. I do remember a clicking feeling in front of my hip every time I got up to walk. Was a yucky feeling. Best wishes to you. LD
