Almost a year ago I had a drunken, unprotected one night stand.
I had vaginal itching, mouth sores, diarrhea, and so on... until I googled and convinced myself I have HIV.
The boy I slept with has reassurred me time and time again that he is clean. He says he's been tested since our one night stand and his results were clear.
I had a sexual health screening about two months afterwards and got put on precautionary antibiotics for chlamydia and then I never went to get the blood work done and I never got my results back.
I am crippled by fear that I truly do have HIV.
I'm finally going to the doctor to get tested on the 16th but between then and now I have an essay due and an exam.
I really really need coping techniques to get me through the next week!
Has anybody else convinced themselves they have HIV???
No not at all but you should never have unprotected sex as you well know unless your in a long term relationship I say the same to my son being a father of a 16 year old just forget all about it until you get your results back you can even do a test at home also remember always tell your partners to where a rubber good luck hope you get the results you are after

Yeah, i think half of the anxiety from it is because i'm mad at myself for making such a stupid decision.
No matter the result, I'm hoping to be able to move on and start a new chapter after the appointment.
That's what happens when you drink booze but remember for the future
Hey,the boy you slept with has reassured you a lot of times and also got himself tested! If he had something then yes you should be worried but rn I think there's no reason to. Yeah ik health anxiety is really overwhelming as I experience it myself but at least you have an appointment. Until then try to keep your mind distracted by stuying. Try breathing techniques and meditation! I bet your results will be good! Keep us updated and best of luck!
