I’m a 24 year old female and I’ve been diagnosed with a hormone imbalance meaning that my body doesn’t produce enough estrogen. Because of this my periods have been all over. I now experience heavy periods that don’t seem to stop on their own. Because of this, I’ve been given a course of provera progesterone tablets which worked at the time to stop my existing period.
Since stopping progesterone I have had break through bleeding but this has been extremely heavy. I’m worried that this too will not stop. I’m really unsure what to do or how to help myself and I wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience, particularly around the use of Progesterone.
Any help would be much appreciated as I’m getting so desperate.
