Hey guys
I hope all is well with everyone.
Recently I booked a trip to Egypt which is where i was born, but I am half British and been living in London for the few years.
Over the past few weeks I have been feeling very confused on communication in different countries and been feeling very lost and confused.
I know it sounds very strange, but hope you know what I mean.
How do I stop this confusion?
I am not sure what you are confused about.
Do you hold a British passport ? Are you a dual citizen ? Do you understand the language spoken ?
Usually, when I have traveled in the past ,I have spent an extensive amount of time learning about the country I intend to visit. I have tried to learn the customs, language , behaviors (both acceptable and unacceptable) and of course places that visitors should avoid.
In this era the internet is a great source of information we just need to be cautious about what we believe as some sites are misleading.
It is normal to feel some apprehension when travelling abroad.
Do try to enjoy the trip as it is always wonderful to go "back home"
Hi Adame,
How did your trip to Egypt go? I know you were apprehensive before you went but I hope that visiting the country of your birth was a positive & affirming experience for you. Best wishes
