How do u know if further surgery is required if my anteria and posture repair hasn't been successful x
A Urogynaecologist will tell you after you've been examined. It's often difficult for a patient to be absolutely sure.
Anna hat makes you ask, ?
How many weeks are you now post op
Do you think its failed then Anna?x
Just was wondering that's all
Sorry anna some of my post disappeared, I think I hit the wrong button. When did you have your anterior and posterior repair? It's rare for them to fail and if you've recently had surgery and you feel a lump the chances are it's swelling however if you think there's a real risk one or both have failed you need to see your GP.
There must be something that's made you think one or both have failed. In your initial post you said posture, do d you mean posterior?
Hello all,
I'm thinking the same as I can see a finger like lump on the back wall (bowel) wondering weather it's worked in 6 weeks post opp x
At only 6 weeks post op what you can probably feel is swelling following the surgery however anyone who is suspicious that the repair has failed needs to either speak to their GP or Urogynaecologist asap so it can be corrected before full healing has taken place.
So can they repair it again in such a short space of time matron soon after?
Matron when a woman stands up are
the top wall touching the back.then when you lay down they part. Just been so long I have forgotten what I used to look like.x
It is very very rare prolapse surgery will have failed early however I don't think anna has said when she had her operation. Sometimes it could be a stitch that's needed but as I said it's hardly likely to fail unless of course a patient has not rested sufficiently or has lifted too early. I suggest an early appointment to reassure patients.
What do you mean about the "top wall"?
Sorry I meant the top entrance to vag.when in stand up it meets the bottom. Is this normal lol
I can't answer that, depends on the extent of the prolapse and the strength of the pelvic floor but if the consultant thinks it's failed because a lady hasn't followed instructions then the chances are you are to the back of the queue because it doesn't matter how sympathetic and caring they come across wasting NHS time and money is frowned upon.
If I was to look at myself underneath the wee hole there is a bump then the entrance
Sorry I still don't know what you mean. The top entrance to the vagina in stand up it meets the bottom???
That won't be me.I've done nothing in 21days.xx
When s Lady looks with a mirror does the top of vagina and bottom meet. before I had it filled with prolapse.
Could you explain what the small bulgy bit is below the urethra.going into the entrance?
