Is it the surface of the chest or is it inside the chest?
It's more of like a tight and squeezing pain in the upper left part of the chest. Trust me you would know its coming from the heart. It will feel like a streak of pain that gets worst at first then dies down. I suggest that your pain could be muscular. If it was heart related it would feel like you experienced a indigestion oriented pain but just near the heart and you would notice the difference.
hi austyn0
having just had a heart attack it took me 3 days to get the pain checked out. started out as pain in my chest which I put down to stress. the next day I got pins and neddles in both arms and could not hold anything in my hands this I put down to trapped nerve. then the next day pain in chest when sitting got up moved around pain disappeared sat down pain came back with a vengeance so waited for wife to come home from work to take me to hospital. right ventricle 90 percent blocked. I was lucky if you are not happy with what your doc is telling you go and see another one. you are the only one who can tell them where it hurts and how bad everybody feels pain differently. I have been in cronic pain for the last 20 years so when I do feel a new pain it has got to get bad enough that it overrides all the other pain and pain killers that I take daily hope this helps a bit

When you went to hospital what did they do to confirm it was 90% blocked? Just trying to understand what they did to get to that result?
when I first went into hospital at midland west australia they did a ecg and said right ventricle was the problem, I was transferred to charlie Gardner hospital later that night. I did not find out how bad until they went through my right arm to get to my heart (as I have two implants in my groin they tried the arm first)
it was not until the went in they found out how badly it was blocked then cleaned it up and then put a stent in.
hope this helps you Jay67544
