How far do I walk?

Can you remember how long that took Graham? The top of my thigh is still a bit hard and swollen, not painful particularly but I'm thinking that may be why I still feel slightly lopsided.

not accurately - certainly after my revision which was 10 weeks post-op.

Your swelling and hardness is the most likely cause.

I was advised to start massaging my scar with Bio Oil - and I think that helped soften the hard scar tissue.

Cheers, this is really good to hear.... havent had a great day... adjusting to what's happened and can't get comfortable but I understand I need to exercise some paitence.. .. 😊😊 here's to a good night sleeep 👍🏻👍🏻

Well I walked for 30 minutes s today with the mutt on a harness to stop him

Pulling . Was ok but does anyone relate to the feeling that one leg feels light and the other like lead ? Feels twice as heavy .. All ok but groin pain now . Walked a bit slow with a bit of a limp but no crutches . Just weird feeling one leg heavier than the other ... I think the bit only weighs about a pound doesn't it ? Perhaps he left his hammer in there 😜😜

As soon as I could I did a little daily walk.  With husband at first for confidence. Did this from week 2. Increased distances and terrain. Used walking poles. Don't be scared your new hip is very strong. But your muscles were already weak and have been cut through. They need a good workout!  Slow but sure have rest days. It will take time. I am 5 months walking much better than before but still "know" I have had surgery!

love your new hip!  Sending magic fairy healing dust. 💫⭐️🌟
