Have you experienced or seen others having posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) developed to the retinal tear and what were the symptoms?
I did experience this. My posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) eventually developed into a retinal tear. The first symptom I noticed was a flashing light whenever I moved my eyes side to side. It turned out that I needed laser surgery to stop the tear from getting bigger. The procedure worked to secure the retina, but the floater that came with the PVD never went away — it’s very aggravating.
