How long will my Prozac withdrawal last?

I have been taking Prozac for around 6 years now and i decided to come off of it nearly two months ago. I started weaning myself off and i have been properly off it about 2 weeks now. The symptoms are mostly physical, i feel run down and sick, body aches, weird feelings in my my body, very irritable, depression at times. I can't function enough to go to work and do things but i have the luxury of being able to stay off work until i'm better thankfully. I read alot of horror stories about people coming off prozac and the symptoms lasting years. I'm really scared that mine will last that long. Does anyone have an estimated timeframe that's reliable or does it vary so much that it can't be guessed?

HI, Have posted recently on Prozac/Fluoxetine withdrawl, you will note there is no norm, work with your doctor

its the only safe way. I suffered for the last three months horrific side effects, I am now under the supervision of a consultant neurologist, I undertaking a betablocker plan and now feel there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have had to seek private assistance as the wait to see a NHS consultant would have resulted in me becoming a mental and physical wreck. My trust of doctors has been severely damaged as some are puppets of the drug companies, have I heard somewhere DO NO HARM. as you can tell I am not a happy bunnie anymore.

It's best to do a slow a taper. 3-5% max every 2-4 weeks or until stable. CT or to quickly and you prolong the withdrawals . Look up Ashton manual on SSRI's

I'm on prozac 60 my it's made me sick to my stomach and I still handed panic attacks at night.  My doc added 20mg propranolol at night with. 25 xanx. It helps but I feel I shouldnt have to take that to.  I was of Paxil 10 years ago. It worked great. The only thing that did..  But I gain so much weight.  Nothing seems to help. What batablocker regimen are you on?
